Rohan tries to convince him that their father still loves him and misses him, but Rahul remains adamant. Rohan then decides to make Yash realize his mistake by pretending to fall in love with Pooja, who is also from a lower-class background. He invites Yash and his mother Nandini (Bachchan) to London for his fake engagement with Pooja, hoping that they will meet Rahul and Anjali there and reconcile with them.
However, things do not go as planned, as Yash discovers Rohan's plan and gets furious with him. He also confronts Rahul and Anjali and insults them again. Rohan then tells Yash how he has hurt his family and himself by being so rigid and arrogant. He also tells him that he loves Naina and not Pooja, and that he will marry her regardless of his approval. Yash realizes his folly and apologizes to Rahul and Anjali, who forgive him.
